My baby 9 month old was laying on my lap asleep as I recorded, as she often did. Now, as that little child that was sleeping on my lap celebrates a big birthday years later, I wanted to share it again.
I recorded this as a freestyle, thinking about the baby in my lap as I recorded improvised lyrics & melody over a Ta-Ku beat. At the time were working on songs together for an LP that was never finalized. When Ta-Ku released it on his soundcloud many years ago the response was huge. It seems to to have touched people as they gave their own interpretation of the lyrics and vibe. It has since been taken down and has only lingered via plagiarized youtube videos.
Now it is available for download here. I hope it connects with your heart.
