DEAR WAKE,
I miss you. I still don't know how I'll know you aren't alive anymore in physical form. I want to help you. I want to help your family and friends but I don't know what to do right now so I turned to what we shared, music. Thank you for your time, kindness, friendship, support, and ideas. Most importantly thank you for what you left with us here in human form, your music was and is inspiring and I wish you were able to make more of it. For now I want to help celebrate you and everything you gave us. Thank you homie, I miss you very much, Love Miles

Recorded in 2016, this song is just now seeing daylight after the recent and untimely death of Wake Self. Upset, Miles processed his loss through music and a re-examination of this song which includes his favorite collaboration with the late vocalist. Additional vocals by Taos Pueblo's "PH8" (of Po10Ce) and UBI (of Ces Cru whom Miles knows from his time in Kansas City).
Wake's music was about self reflection as well as examining the world and how to take a stand to improve it. He was a leader in many ways and one of a handful of artists in New Mexico whom Miles was excited by and learned from as they collaborated from near and far, Miles based in Taos and Wake in Albuquerque and later Santa Fe. The spent time together, and this loss is deeply felt by Miles, PH8, and all who knew him. RIP WAKE
